By using wakethefup you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

wakethefup is an alarm app that keeps ringing until you complete tasks. It also includes optional friends, a members only network called the Circle, and optional wake up calls. The app is for people in the United States and Thailand.

Not a safety device

Alarms depend on your phone, its battery, settings and Apple's software. We work to make them reliable but we cannot guarantee that an alarm will ring. Do not rely on wakethefup alone for anything where a missed alarm could cause harm, such as medication, flights or work shifts. Use a second alarm. The tasks involve physical movement. Do them only if you are able, in a safe place, and stop if you feel unwell. Tasks without movement are available. In an emergency use the call emergency services button on the ringing screen or the emergency stop.

Subscriptions

Premium and Circle memberships are auto renewing subscriptions billed by Apple. Free trials convert to paid unless cancelled at least 24 hours before they end. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple. Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe. Wake up calls are one time purchases.

Your account and content

You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything illegal, sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, or that infringes another person's rights, and do not impersonate anyone. You keep ownership of your content and give us a license to host and show it inside the app. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules, and members can report and block others. Circle membership is by application or invitation and may be ended for rule breaking.

Wake up calls

You may book a call only for yourself or for someone who has agreed to receive it. Scripts are reviewed before payment is offered, and we may refuse any script.

Creators and codes

Referral codes and creator rewards are subject to the rules shown in the app. Abuse, fake accounts or code farming can end rewards and accounts.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app at any time. Deleting does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, missed events caused by an alarm not ringing, or loss of data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Some laws do not allow these limits, and then they apply only as far as the law permits.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, except where consumer law in your country requires otherwise. We may update these terms and will say so in the app. Continuing to use the app means you accept the update.
